About

A database role permits to assign permissions:

  • to users,
  • or to administrators who do not have server-wide administrative rights.

Role permissions are database-specific.

Securables

Database role permissions can be granted for:

  • database and cube dimensions,
  • individual dimension members,
  • cubes,
  • individual cells within a cube,
    • mining structures,
    • mining models,
    • data sources,
    • and stored procedures.

Management
