About
To be able to work a typical Salience installation must have:
- A data directory with a Lexalytics license file
- The appropriate Salience wrapper (for java, php, python,…)
- The core Salience Engine DLLs from the Salience\bin directory. These should be placed in the working directory or in a directory location specified in the PATH environment variable.
The Salience Engine library itself and its wrappers are given all the runtime configuration they need via the path to the license file and the path to the data directory provided when initializing a session.
The Windows installer creates a registry key only for the Salience Demo and Sentiment Toolkit Windows applications.
