A theme is a concept that occurs in the content.

When starting working with themes, you can can be inundated by a long list of themes that the engine has extracted. However, the result can be trimmed down to the best themes by looking up the theme attributes.

Attributes

The theme results structure contains two different themes Attributes.

Score

The theme score provides a relative measure of the strength of the theme within the content. Higher score, stronger theme.

Theme score can not be used to compare themes across documents, as the score is dependent upon the content from which the theme was extracted.

Type

When a single word is repeated through multiple themes, this word will be reported as a meta-theme.

  • Standard themes have a theme type of 0,
  • Meta-themes have a theme type of 1. They represent a basic higher level theme.
