Network - Name and Naming

About

Every node resource (host, address) on the net has a name.

This sections regroups all article about this subject.

A host has:

• a unique name defined in the operating system known as the hostname
• and one or more name ip name defined in a name database
  • in a host file
  • or in the DNS system

The resolution of a name to an ip is done by DNS client that calls the resolver library.
