Scale is the total number of digits to the right of the decimal point in the fixed point notation. Generally, a positive value round to the right and a negative value round the value to the left.

Example

  • Scale of 3 for 12345.6789 will become 12345.679
  • Scale of -3 for 12345.6789 will become 12000
