Black is a color with the following specificities:

- ie does not come from the visible light spectrum
- ie shows the absence of light reflection
- the darkest color (with a value of 0 on the lightness scale)
- coupled with this emotions: elegance, power, control, sophistication, depression
- is not on color wheel (or at the center for a Color - (Wheel|Circle|Disc) (Hue Organization))
- Black objects does not return any visible wavelengths of light.
- Black on a display (television, computer screens is created generally by turning off the pixel.
The complementary color of black is white.
