An IP anycast has a specific routing.

Unlike a conventional IP pointing to a unique accommodation, the IP anycast allows access to several items differentiated by the performance of the exchange.

Specifically, a user wishing to access a website using the CDN will be redirected to the POP nearest to optimize response time.
